Who wins SWAG Sports Personality of the year?

THE 43rd Awards Night of Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) comes off on Friday, May 4, 2018, at the Accra International Conference Centre.

According to the organisers of the event, the ASA Band and Kwabena Kwabena are going to provide music, and the President of the Association, Mr Kwabena Yeboah, says the surprise and highlight of the event of the night would be the Sports Personality of the Year.

Vying for the prestigious award are Daniel Nii Adjei – (TP Mazembe, DRC), Thomas Teye Partey- (Atletico Madrid, Spain), Christian Atsu – (Newcastle, England) and Richard Boakye-Yiadom (Red Star Belgrade, Serbia).

Six people are contesting for the Sports Federation Chairman / President of the Year.

 

This year’s event coincides with activities involved in the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of SWAG, which was founded in 1968.

Below is the full list of outstanding sportsmen and women who did well in the year 2017 and as such have earned nominations for the various categories of the awards:
