The Ashanti Regional Communication Director of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Mr. Osei Kofi Acquah has described as disgraceful Mr. Asare Bediako’s decision to pull out of the upcoming Ashanti Regional chairmanship position of the governing New Patriotic Party [NPP].
The ace politician on Thursday April 12, 2018 confirmed on Abusua Nkommo hosted by Austine woode that he won’t contest Chairman Wontumi in the NPP’s upcoming Regional elections, citing circumstances beyond as reason for pulling out of the race.
The CPP communicator in a reaction to the Asokwa Constituency chairman decision to pull out of what was tipped to be a hot race wondered why someone who on numerous platforms vowed to give incumbent Chairman Mr. Bernard Antwi Bosiako widely known as Chairman Wontumi a tough competition would suddenly disappoint his followers who have sacrificed their precious time to campaign for him.
”Chairman Asare Bediako is a disgrace and disappointment to his followers who have supported him throughout his campaign. His decision even to contest Wontumi in the first place was needless knowing very well that Wontumi hasn’t disappointment NPP with all the promises he made prior to the 2016 general election”. said the vociferous communicator.
Mr. Asare Bediako’s decision to pull out of the race, paves way for Chairman Wontumi to go unopposed in the regional elections slated for April 21, 2018.
