Former Ashanti regional deputy minister Joseph Yamin has branded President Akufo-Addo as a ‘clearing Agent’.
According to him, the President since assuming office in 2017 has proven that he’s a specialty in clearing his appointments from wrong doings in the country.
He indicated ”Nana Addo has justified why he should be called Clearing Agent simply because he has failed on countless occasions to accept wrong doings of his appointments and that going forward I want him to remove that tag by doing the right thing for the good people of Ghana”.
Speaking on Abusua Nkommo hosted by Kwame Adinkrah, Yamin cited the President’s comment on the ‘Cash for Seat saga’ as one which clearly affirms his ‘Clearing Agent’ title.
”His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo now has a new name which is ‘Clearing Agent’ I am saying that because you always hear him clearing people in his government of any wrong doing”
”Cash for seat saga, GH20,000 gate fee to see the President and even the GHS2.25 bond which is under investigation by the American and you have a President clearing all these people of any wrong doing. Kwame now we have contaminated fuel in the system and Alfred Obeng is still at post or is it because Kennedy Agyapong said he aided President’s campaign with GHS700 million prior to the 2016 election” he quizzed.
”Kennedy said this and what surprise me is that at the point of saying that the President was asked about it live on TV and all he could say was ”don’t mind Kennedy that is how he is.
‘’Akufo-Addo wasn’t bold to tell us how much took so the assumption is that Alfred Obeng was handed the position just to show appreciation and also engage in such dubious businesses to get the said money back”.
”Let me ask this question what is the Business about unlicensed companies that Alfred Obeng is dealing with them what are they and that alone calls for the sack of Alfred Obeng if Nana Addo says he really wants to find corruption this not only a case for Martin Amidu to investigate as the first case but Alfred Obeng should be sacked”.
