Supporters should remain hopeful – Annan

ASANTE KOTOKO’S safest pair of hands, Felix Annan has given the teeming supporters of the club some words of hope that Kotoko will still qualify to the next stage of the CAF Confederation Cup in spite of recording a slim victory at home against CARA Brazzaville.

The former West Africa Football Academy goalkeeper believed that all is not lost yet, therefore supporters of the club should not give up but rather rally behind the team.

The 2017 MTN FA Cup champions won 1-0 against CARA Brazzaville in the first leg of the preliminary stage of CAF Confederation Cup at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Commenting on the possibility of qualifying at the expense of CARA Brazzaville in an interview, Annan said, “The supporters should not be discouraged by the results.  We really played our hearts out but what was destined to occur happened.  All is not lost yet, we have the men to battle for qualifications in the second leg.”

The Porcupine Warriors is expected to leave for Congo on Wednesday to honour the second leg
