MR JOHNSON Kwame Gyinde, popularly known as chairman ‘My-yours,’ a former campaign manager of Ms Otiko Afisa Jaba, Minster for Gender, Children and Social Protection, has revealed that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is matured enough to snatch the Bole-Bamboi seat from the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) come 2020.
‘My-yours’ said for some time now, the NDC had won the parliamentary seat, but it was time the NPP won the seat.
According to him, the only way to achieve such as dream is for the party to vote for him to win the constituency chairmanship race scheduled for February 20.
Speaking to the DAILY HERITAGE, chairman ‘My-yours’ said he was the first vice chairman for the constituency from 2009 to 2012 and contested the chairmanship position in 2012, but lost with 21 votes.
‘My-yours’ is seeking the mandate of the people to lead the party and to offer them a leadership that would make NPP attractive to all and build a strong party structure at all levels in ensuring that the party wins the parliamentary seat come 2020.
“I want to be a leader who would offer equal opportunities to all supporters of the NPP in the constituency.
“I am a known grassroots man who has worked for the party since 1992 and believes the seat can easily be won for the party if all the tribes come together.
“I believe the party has not been made attractive enough for the people to come on board and support us so what is more important for me is that when I win I will mobilise all the branches to whip up support for the NPP,” he stated.
Speaking on his personal achievements, chairman ‘My-yours’ said he is a business administrator by profession, transport operator and a fulltime building contractor.
‘My-yours’ is a true patriot, lobbyist, political strategist and a man who understands the political environment of the constituency and has consistently proven to be a grassroots person. His dedication and commitment to the cause of the party is not in doubt.
A party loyalist, Mr Christopher Gyinde described him as one with deep knowledge of political strategy which makes him the ideal person for the constituency chairman for the NPP.
“I believe in the good judgment of the delegates to elect him as the constituency chairman for the Bole-Bamboi,” Mr Gyinde said.
