Breaking News: 5 Soldiers shot by Fulani Herdsmen in Agogo

Five (5) Military Men have been shot by Fulani Herdsmen at Agogo in the Asante Akyem North District of the Ashanti Region.

The incident happened on Monday around 2:30 pm when the Military Men stormed the place where the Fulani Herdsmen feed their cattle.

The five Military Men we understand were shot when the Fulani Herdsmen exchanged bullets with the soldiers who had stormed the place.

Confirming the news to Abusua News, Personal Assistant to Asante Akyem North Member of Parliament  Derrick Amoah said two out of the five (5) Military men sustained serious injuries and have been rushed to the Agogo Presbyterian hospital for immediate treatment.

According to him, two of the Fulani Herdsmen have been arrested by the Agogo District Police Command as search for them continues.

Information gathered by Abusua news indicates that the Agogo DISEC will hold an emergence meeting on  Tuesday January 9th 2018 to address the unfortunate incident.
