A year on: NPP gives thanks to God

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is today December 7 expected to hold a thanks-giving ceremony at the Accra International Conference Centre to commemorate a year of the party’s victory in the 2016 general polls.

The NPP’s presidential candidate in the 2016 general elections, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, recorded 53.85 per cent of the valid votes cast to become Ghana’s fifth president under the fourth Republic, beating then-incumbent John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress.

The thanks giving service is aim at thanking God for a peaceful polls and also express gratitude to Ghanaians who voted for the NPP party to unseat its closest rivals the National Democratic Congress [NDC]
