Retired Referee G.K Manu has rejected claims that referee Gagba who officiated Ghana Premier League biggest clash between Asante Kotoko and arch rival Accra Hearts of Oak performance was highly abysmal.
According to him, Gagba’s performance on the day wasn’t bad at all adding he had a very good day despite being criticized for award a controversial penalty to Asante Kotoko which was neatly converted by striker Saddick Adams.
The game ended one apiece after Saddick Adams scored from the spot to cancel Kwame Kixito’s sublime finish.
Speaking on Abusua Sports Arena hosted by Kofi Larbi [Governor] Mr. Manu said ”The referee’s performance yesterday was not bad at all. I will give him 7½ over 10.’’
He added ”He did well, I totally disagree with anybody who says Emmanuel Dally Gagba performance was not bad.”
”Ghanaian are too judgmental. You need to watch the video very well before criticizing.”
