Police Ransack Former Power Minister’s Residence

Personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service today raided private residence of former Power Minister, Dr. Kwabena Donkor for is role in the AMERI power plant transaction.
The CID personnel were led by an Assistant Superintendent of Police with a search warrant to conduct a thorough search of the house.

According to Dr. Kwabena Donkor, the CID men “searched my study room, the children’s room and every part of the house.”

He said, the search warrant read that he was being investigated as a “suspect” for “causing financial loss to the state” over the Ameri deal.

The Member of Parliament for Pru East said “I have nothing to hide on Ameri…I’m a citizen of this country and I’m prepared to meet them in court.”
