The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has suspended two executives in the Western Region.
The affected persons are the regional organiser Japheth Aidoo and his deputy Thomas Assinae.
They were suspended for diverting party items and selling party paraphernalia.
A statement signed by the regional chairman Michael Aidoo stated that the charges levelled against the two are “non-disclosure of the possession of party items, diversion of party items, and selling of party paraphernalia meant for constituencies.”
According to the regional Communications Director, Tumi Acquah, the action is to allow for the party’s disciplinary committee to look into an alleged case of diversion of party items brought against the two.
The two have been asked to immediately surrender all party items in their possession as they step aside to allow the disciplinary committee to commence.
